The LW series horizontal spiral discharge settling centrifuge is one of the main equipment in the sludge dewatering system. It mainly consists of a high-speed rotating drum, a spiral that rotates in the same direction as the drum and forms a certain speed difference, a differential, and a machine base. When the sludge enters the inner cavity of the centrifuge drum, the high-speed rotating drum generates strong centrifugal force. Due to the high density of the sludge particles, the centrifugal force generated is also large, so the sludge settles on the inner wall of the drum, forming a ring-shaped solid phase mud cake layer; And the density of water is relatively low, and the centrifugal force is also small, so it can only form a liquid ring layer inside the solid ring layer. Due to the different rotational speeds of the spiral and the drum, there is relative motion (i.e. differential rotational speed) between the two. The sludge deposited on the inner wall of the drum is pushed towards the outlet at the small end of the drum through the spiral and discharged, while the separated water is discharged from the other end of the drum. The function of the differential is to create a certain speed difference between the drum and the screw. Adding flocculants to sludge to generate flocculation, causing dispersed sludge particles to aggregate and produce larger flocs, accelerating the separation of sludge and water.
